Amazing Google
2011/04/26 in web
Things Google does just impresses me lately. After the earthquake & tsunami here in Japan, Google was extremely efficient in improving things.
Obviously, Google started information service first.
“Resources related to the 2011 Japan Crisis” was launched soon after March11, and it incorporates lots of helpful information for victims of the ordeal and for people who wanted to help. Google even did some TV ads for this site.
And, now, Google has launched a different kind of web site.
“Messages For Japan” is a site where you can place messages for Japan. I’ve seen some sites where you can do exactly this but because this one is by Google, technologies used here is pretty cool.
The site will auto translate your message into Japanese.
I’ve used Google Translate a few time and every time I used it, the result was, well, not very good. But, for some reasons, as far as I can tell, translations on this site is “ok”, which is amazing.
This is the ad for the site.
Very well made, I think.
Towards the end of it, whatever the original message was, Japanese text is same, but, hey, this is just an ad.
