Moby – music video challenge
Moby, Vimeo and SAATCHI & SAATCHI are doing music video challenge!
The idea is to interpret the idea of ‘Hello, Future’ and make a music video for one of Moby’s tracks from his new album, ‘Destroyed’.
I’ve got to do this!
I think that all the time but because I get busy with my work and things, I never do. To keep my motivations up, I am writing this now.
Moby is a DJ、singer-songwriter, musician, who’s work is regarded as “house”. Though I’m not a “house” lover, his work is somewhat more earthy and I love it!
Vimeo is, well, vimeo. It’s lika a YouTube for creative people. You can only upload things you create.
And Saatchi & Saatchi is an international ad agency. There’s a branch here in Japan though I never had a chance to work with them.
There are few other competitions where you are asked to make a music video for some famous musicians but as far as I’m concerned, this is the best one I’ve ever come across.
I’ve already started to think what to do. The idea of “Hello, Future” is somewhat difficult with what is going on right now here in Japan. I can’t help but to think only negative sides of “Future”, though I hate to go for the typical apocalyptic rendition of it. Phmm…
Submission deadline is May 9, 2011.
